Living in Smethport with my husband Bill, we have been married since May 26, 1979. I am an associate broker with Bill Lake Real Estate where I have worked since 1980. We have rental properties which take a good share of my time managing 20 units comprised of apartments and single family homes. We have 5 children. Scott Burdick ('85) lives in Aldie, VA with his wife Jill and sons Zachary and Brandon. Scott is a highway and bridge construction inspector for the State of Virginia. Lori Burdick Rapp ('86) lives in Southern Pines, NC with her husband SFC George Rapp 82nd Airborne (he mostly is in Iraq), son James (named after my dad) and daughter Gloria (named after my mom). Lori is a high school math teacher. William Jordan (Jory) Lake ('90) lives in Emmaus, PA with wife Maureen and son Griffin. Jory is a police detective for the City of Allentown. Rachel Burdick Howes ('91) lives 1 block from me with her husband Gary and sons Michael and Tyler. Rachel is an appraiser assistant to Bill. Adam Lake ('01) is a CPA and lives in Washington D.C. Adam works for KPMG, has his top secret security clearance and does government auditing.
I volunteer on the Smethport Memorial Recreation Center Swimming Pool Board of Directors where I am active in fund raising and the Shade Tree Commission for which we have planted 3 dozen trees in the past 3 years. I am also Treasurer of the county REALTOR Association and am active at our church.
I enjoy working out at the local fitness center. I have always enjoyed traveling and continue to do as much as possible. I have been to Jamaica, Germany (2 with 1 time skiing), Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Alaska, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Las Vegas (2 with 1 meeting Sue Quirk for dinner and an evening of catching up), skiing in Colorado (2), Canada and Vermont (2). I need to see 6 more states to complete the 50. I did the zip lines in Costa Rica and Hawaii, river rafting in Montana, Alaska and Costa Rica. I declined to bungee jump but rapelled from trees in Costa Rica. I enjoy skiing at Holiday Valley and golfing with Judy Thomas Wright on Tuesday evenings in the summer. Bill and I have 4 wheelers we enjoy riding at our camp in Potter County. My time with our grandchildren gives me the most joy.
