After high school I moved to Swansboro, NC with some friends and had a blast! However, after 3 years I decided it was time to go home and settle down so I moved back to Pennsylvania. I got a job as a Legal Assistant and lived in Bradford for about 2 1/2 years when I met my husband Dave. He is originally from Port Allegany but was living in Kannapolis, NC. After visiting him there a few times it didn't take him long to convince me to move. We had a son Zach in 1996. Dave and I were married in 1999, and we had our daughter Annabelle in 2002.
I worked as a Legal Assistant for a law firm when I first moved to Kannapolis, but then we decided I needed to start working part time. I got offered a job at a Free Clinic and with some reservation, I took the job and have been there for 6 years. I work as a pharmacy assistant and love what I do. My husband is the Charlotte, NC Branch Manager for a large restoration company that has over 40 branches nationwide. We all love the South and will most likely be here forever! However, I still occasionally miss Smethport, especially in the summer months!
