After graduation I attended Slippery Rock University and received an English degree. I then went onto Mansfield for my teaching certification and a M.S. in Reading. I married my husband Jim on July 5, 2003 in Bradford. We lived a for a short time in Brownsville, PA (south of Pittsburgh). We moved back to Smethport in August, 2004 where I worked for Smethport School District teaching 8th and 11th grade English as a long-term sub. My husband is in the ministry and we are in the process of beginning a church in Smethport under the Assemblies of God. He also works for Adelphia.
We bought a house on Water Street, near the park. Our daughter, Ruth Nicole, was born December 23, 2005, much to the disgust of our dog, Sammy. I work now for Port Allegany High School, teaching 10th grade English.
